Industrial gas duties include natural gas distribution, compressed air headers, nitrogen blanketing, inert gas purging, and process gas mixing skids. Pressure and flow rates vary from utility distribution to high-pressure compression discharge.

Many gas duties operate in hazardous areas — leaks from valve stem packings or actuator wiring entries can create flammable atmospheres. Certification path (ATEX, IECEx, CSA) and fail-safe behaviour during loss of power both matter to the safety case, and partial-stroke testing supports safety-instrumented systems.

Pipeline and station projects use FFC EFX-D and EFX-Q based on valve type and duty cycle; isolation valves favour quarter-turn movements, while regulator override and metering bypass often use multi-turn.
