Hydrogen
Actuator guidance for hydrogen production, compression, storage, and distribution valves needing leakage and hazard review.
Service context
Hydrogen valve automation
Hydrogen service spans electrolyzer feed and product lines, compression stations, distribution piping, storage cylinders, and dispenser skids. Service temperature and pressure vary widely across the value chain, from low-pressure electrolyzer output to high-pressure storage.
Hydrogen is a small molecule that demands tight sealing and certified materials on every wetted part of the valve and drive interface. Hazardous area classification almost always applies, and many sites require additional leak detection or purge provisions around the actuator enclosure.
Power-to-gas, refinery hydrogen networks, and green hydrogen pilots all use intermediate and large bore valves on isolation and dosing duties. FFC EFX-D and EFX-Q can serve hydrogen projects when the certification path, enclosure rating, and accessory list are confirmed against the site hazard analysis — share the project scope and FFC will return the matching variant.
Selection caution
Hydrogen service demands careful material, leakage, and hazardous area review.
